Privacy Policy
We built Solvebility to be useful and trustworthy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it: plain English, no legalese maze.
Information We Collect
Solvebility.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. We only collect what’s necessary to run and improve our services.
Personal Information — we only collect this when you give it to us:
- Name and email address (if you contact us or subscribe to updates)
- Any other details you choose to include in a contact or support message
Non-Personal / Technical Information — collected automatically:
- Device type, operating system, and browser version
- IP address and approximate geographic region
- Pages visited, time on page, and referral source (via Google Analytics)
- Calculator inputs — these are processed locally in your browser and never sent to our servers
Your calculator data stays private. Every calculation on Solvebility (GPA, fertilizer doses, irrigation rates) runs entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or process your calculation inputs on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for these purposes only:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our calculators and website
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Send updates or newsletters, only with your explicit consent, and you can unsubscribe any time
- Monitor website performance, catch errors, and keep the site secure
- Understand how visitors use our tools so we can build better ones
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
Solvebility doesn’t sell your personal information for money. Our advertising partner, Mediavine, handles the related data processing described in Section 4 below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of certain advertising-related processing or sharing.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve site functionality, personalize content, and analyze traffic. Specifically, we use:
- Google Analytics — anonymized page-view and session data to see which tools are most useful. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
- Functional cookies — used by some calculators to remember your last session locally, in browser storage, not sent to our server.
- Site Kit by Google — performance and Search Console integration.
You’re in control. You can manage, restrict, or disable cookies any time through your browser settings. Most browsers accept cookies by default; disabling them may affect calculator features that rely on local storage.
When Mediavine advertising is enabled, it uses its own advertising technologies. Mediavine’s consent and privacy tools control personalized advertising based on your location and applicable law. See Section 4 below.
For a full breakdown of every cookie we use, what sets it, and how long it lasts, see our Cookie Policy.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising
If Mediavine programmatic advertising is enabled on Solvebility.com, this section describes the advertising services Mediavine provides.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.
For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners.
Privacy choices: Depending on where you’re located, Mediavine may show consent and privacy tools for personalized advertising and US state privacy rights, including a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on the site. These are separate from Solvebility’s own contact, analytics, and data practices covered elsewhere in this policy.
Sharing of Information
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted third parties who help us run the site, like our web host, analytics provider (Google Analytics), and email service. They’re contractually required to use your data only for the services they provide us.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to comply with our legal obligations.
- Business transfers — if we’re acquired, merge, or sell assets, user data may transfer as part of that deal. We’ll notify you with a clear notice on our website.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:
- HTTPS encryption across the entire website
- Access controls limiting who can view any collected data
- Regular security updates to our hosting infrastructure
No method of transmitting data over the internet or storing it electronically is 100% secure. We work hard to protect your information, but we can’t guarantee absolute security. If you think your data has been compromised, contact us right away at admin@solvebility.com.

Children’s Privacy
Solvebility.com isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child gave us personal information, contact us at admin@solvebility.com and we’ll delete it promptly.

- Send an email notification to subscribed users for significant changes
If you keep using Solvebility.com after changes go live, that means you accept the updated policy. Check back here periodically.
