Privacy Policy

We built Solvebility to be useful and trustworthy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Plain English — no legalese maze.

Information We Collect

Solvebility.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We collect only what is necessary to operate and improve our services.

Personal Information — only collected when you actively provide it:

  • Name and email address (if you contact us or subscribe to updates)
  • Any other details you choose to include in a contact or support message

Non-Personal / Technical Information — collected automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser version
  • IP address and approximate geographic region
  • Pages visited, time on page, and referral source (via Google Analytics)
  • Calculator inputs — these are processed locally in your browser and never sent to our servers

Your calculator data stays private. All calculations on Solvebility — GPA, fertilizer doses, irrigation rates — run entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or process your calculation inputs on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes only:

  • Provide, maintain, and continuously improve our calculators and website
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Send updates or newsletters — only with your explicit consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time
  • Monitor website performance, detect errors, and ensure security
  • Understand how visitors use our tools so we can build better ones
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, resale, or any purpose beyond operating and improving Solvebility.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance functionality, personalise content, and analyse website traffic. Specifically, we use:

  • Google Analytics — anonymised page-view and session data to understand which tools are most useful. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
  • Functional cookies — used by some calculators to remember your last session data locally (browser storage, not cookies sent to our server).
  • Site Kit by Google — performance and Search Console integration.

You are in control. You can manage, restrict, or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers accept cookies by default; disabling them may affect some calculator features that rely on local storage.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking beyond the analytics tools listed above.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted third parties who help us operate the website, such as our web host, analytics provider (Google Analytics), and email delivery service. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they provide to us.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to comply with our legal obligations.
  • Business transfers — in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified via a prominent notice on our website.

Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

  • HTTPS encryption across the entire website
  • Access controls limiting who can view any collected data
  • Regular security updates to our hosting infrastructure

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us has been compromised, please contact us immediately at admin@solvebility.com.
